About The Orchards Holiday Village
Run by Haven, The Orchards is obviously meant for the holiday maker who wants a bit of peace and quiet. The park makes full advantage of the beautiful peaceful locale as it has a 9 hole golf course, and two coarse fishing lakes (if you do come for the fishing you will need a rod license). If you don’t fancy the fishing you can still take a pedalo out onto the lake for a bit of fun without the waves.
If you do fancy some proper waves for a seaside dip the beach is ten minutes walk away as the park is just outside the small hamlet of St Osyth. Mind you, there’s plenty going on at the park, including an outdoor heated pool, and that all important indoor pool for rainy days. There’s more than just swimming though as there is a full raft of water activities on offer including kayaking and water gliders which are a great way to build up children’s water confidence in a safe environment.
Out of the water there’s not just golf and fishing, there is coaching for archery and fencing as well. In all, whilst the park does have a program of evening entertainment it does appear to be tailor made for those who want a bit of peace and quiet, but also like to get a bit active as well. Avoid the hangovers, and take full advantage of all this park and the local area has to offer.

This is the second tie that we have stayed at The Orchards and have to say that the improvements to the site are progressing and moving int he right direction. We had a blast the first time round but it was clearly evident that a bit of tlc was required to bring it up to scratch. So pleased to see this happening.
The staff were great and appeared to go above and beyond to help with enquiries, the caravna itself was very nice and comfortable. However we wre situated on the main road and this proved rowdy in the evening.
Made some great memories this time round as well, and with the ongoing improvements which would serve to increase the oeverall experience, we would deffo return for another stay!
