About West Bay Holiday Park
Located just a short stroll away from West Bay Beach, West Bay Holiday Park is located in a beautiful part of Dorset with plenty to see and do right on your doorstep if you are looking for a relaxing traditional seaside holiday.
Dorset has a famously good climate, but just in case it does rain, there is plenty to do at the park, including an indoor swimming pool with flume and plenty to keep the kids occupied throughout the day, and entertainment in the evening for the adults.
The kid’s clubs are suitable for all ages, not just the tots, so you can drop the kids off and grab some ‘me time’ either doing something active to get yourself into shape, or simply lazing in the pool. Make sure that you check out pool times though as there are a lot of activities going on. Inflatable Kayaks and water walkers are available which is a great way to improve the kids’ water confidence.
Family cycle hire is available which is the healthiest way to explore the locale and get to see it close up. There are eateries onsite, but a short walk will take you to the harbour – dinner is so much better after a stretch of the legs!
Although the location is a tranquil one, it is not too far the new Forest National park, which would be a shame to miss especially if you have kids with you. And being as kids love animals it would be a shame to miss out on Monkey World which is a short drive away and a great opportunity to bring a bit of education into the holiday with a look at rescued and endangered primates.
For those without kids the park is located along the Jurassic Coast which is a haven for ramblers, and even if you don’t have all the gear, you don’t really need a backpack to wander along some of the UK’s most important coastline.
A superbly located holiday park with plenty to see and do within a short walk or drive.
This is a basic caravan site with not much to do, which was really what attracted us to West Bay Holiday Park. However worry not as there are plenty of places to visit and see within close proximity to the site. Westbay beach is shingle but it’s a great day out. The swimming pool has a children’s slide and is a bit basic. However the caravans were in a good condition and were clean and tidy as well. We had a good time here and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were polite and friendly.
