About White Cross Bay Holiday Park
Of all the holiday parks in the area, White Cross Bay has got the best in terms of facilities, so is well suited for those with families, as well as those looking a base for climbing or full-on activities in the area. The abundance of facilities does not come at a cost to the beauty of the park though, as it is located within a woodland with its own resident rabbits and red deer (that’s a selling point for the little kids!).
A break at the park can be as active or tranquil as you care to make it. There are plenty of walking tracks in the area, it has its own marina, and if you fancy getting toned up there is a gum and sports court on-site. Whilst beautiful Lake Windemere is merely yards away, if you like your water warm, there is an indoor pool, and the opportunity to chill out in the steam room, sauna, or spa pool.
This is also one of the more visitor friendly parks in the area as it has a larger amount of accommodation on offer. There are a total of 45 units available for booking, and range from bronze caravans to gold lodges – something for everyone. There are only nine units available for people taking pets, so you will need to book up early to grab one of them. With a pub, restaurant, takeaway and a store your eating needs are taken care of although accommodation does include cooking facilities.
This is probably the most family friendly of parks in the region due to the level of facilities. With such a lovely location you can really kick back and recharge those batteries without leaving the park. And for those looking for a bit more adventure, its location in the national park makes it ideal to use as a base for a proper activity break.
Me and the kids had a grand time White Cross Bay Holiday Park, there was something to entertain us all. We had a thoroughly good time and The World of Beatrix Potter, is a sensational few hours out. The kids loved it.
Plenty to do, either as much or little as you like, fancy a lazy morning then the kids can have a play outside, or the indoor pool. Plenty to see and do. Highly recommended.
