About Landguard Holiday Park
Landguard Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight is nestled in a charming woodland setting, a stone’s throw from the southeastern coastal resort of Shanklin. Adjacent is Lower Ryde Holiday Park which is a sister site and an attractive perk is that you can use all the facilities at both sites without additional cost.
4 grades of holiday caravan are to be found here and they all come well kitted out. You can camp or tour if you wish, and pitch sizes are 6m x 6m and include free gas and electricity. If you fancy something more luxurious you might want to book a lodge for your stay with is equipped for luxury and comfort.
Kids can enjoy the fun at Sparky’s Club and join in with hobbies, crafts and dance activities as well as sports. The indoor and outdoor heated pools where they can get busy on the Water Walkerz and play around in the water jets are also extremely popular. The adventure playground is always a good place for kids to make new friends too.
If you like cooking for yourselves some of the time you should be able to get what you need in the on-site supermarket. However the Granary Restaurant and Takeaway are also there to keep you well fed. Come evening, the entertainment programme is found at the Jesters Family Club at peak times. Themed nights, and movies under the stars are a nice way to spend the evening together. But remember there is a livelier programme at Lower Hyde Holiday Park next door which you are most welcome to use. Between the two you may be living the high old Island life!
We had a wonderful short break, which was excellent value for money. The staff, friendly and welcoming and the entertainment top notch. The kids loved it.
Nice and peaceful site that was well kept and tidy. We enjoyed plenty of fun time in the swimming pools and ventured out to the Dinosaur Farm Museum. Great place for relaxing and taking things easy. most certainly would return.
