About River Valley Country Park
Just the name River Valley Country Park conjures up thoughts of rambling strolls and beautiful countryside and it’s with good reason too, because this 18 acre, partly wooded site is stunning, and award winning too. Families get a warm welcome here, although there are no pets allowed. Situated in the narrowest part of Cornwall ensures that patrons can access all the most beautiful beaches of both South and North Cornwall, many of which are just a short drive away.
The accommodation here can be as luxury or basic as you require, although all lodges and caravans are modern and up to date, the park offers luxury accommodation complete with hot tubs for those who want a little luxury in the South West. All lodges and caravans come with television and freeview, functional kitchens with microwaves and a bath or shower. Gas and electricity is included, and bed linen too!
The park is tranquil compared to many, and if you’re trying to avoid the noisy evening entertainment and kids clubs, this may be the one for you. There’s a shop and laundrette, and 18 acres to relax in. If strolling along the River Hayle sounds like the perfect afternoon outing, you’ll love it here!
The Penzance setting gives you easy access to many sandy beaches, little coves, and local Cornish features such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.
Well what a find, a nice and tranquil site that is just heavenly. What a place to shut off the rat race and ground yourself by getting back to nature. We spent a long weekend here and enjoyed the serenity on offer. We had a leisurely walk along the river and it was beautiful.
Not too far a distant to travel to the beaches either and we had to take a trip to The Eden Project which was another brilliant experience. The accommodation was just perfect, and catered for our needs with all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. This was just what I needed and will be telling all my friends how lovely this site and surrounding area is. We shall see you again.
