Staycations have been increasing phenomenally year on year over the past decade. And with the Brexit vote earlier in the year the pound has been steadily declining against the major tourist currencies, the dollar and the euro. We’re predicting that this may further increase the numbers of people who will opt to take a domestic holiday in 2017.
But what will it mean for holiday prices over the coming year as competition for those prime holiday slots increases? Well, there are a whole range of variables to consider, but the one option is to not waste your time guessing and book now for next year at 2016 prices and let everyone worry about the possibility of rising costs next year!
This time every year most of the big holiday park operators offer good rates for booking early for the following year, and this year is no exception. You could always simply wait until next year and grab a last minute bargain, but, with the potential increase in staycations those late availability bargains may become more difficult to find.
Hoburne Holidays are offering holidays for next year at this years prices with deposits starting at £75. They have 7 parks located in the south west of England, mainly in popular coastal resorts. Of their 7 parks 6 have received the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and they have a range of excellent accommodation.
Some of their parks have only lodge and chalet accommodation, which means that they are not at the cheaper end of the scale, however, you often get what you pay for and sometimes it is worth it’s worth forking out a bit more to really treat the family.
Despite being slightly more upmarket, most Hoburne parks do have family evening entertainment to make your break a bit more fun, although it is not available at Hoburne Blue Anchor or Hoburne Doublebois who do put on outdoor events during the peak periods. The parks are not as well known as rivals such as Haven, but, anyone one who gets a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is worth a look. And, don’t forget, for the moment it’s 2017 at 2016 prices, but don’t leave it too late, check out their offers here.
