Yes, Easter is now almost over which means the schools go back next week, and for people without children this is good news as it heralds the customary drop in holiday prices before they go up again for the May half term break. May is that time of year when you are ‘almost sure’ of good weather, and evening if it does rain, it’s not going to be freezing, so this is when the holiday season really kicks off.
Besides, most holiday parks these days have plenty of indoor activities to keep you busy if the heavens do open up, and now may be a good time to grab a last minute break before the prices start their steady incline. Park Resorts who have many parks with pet friendly accommodation are now cutting prices on their getaway breaks for the weekend of May 23rd for 3 night stays. Crimdon Dene Holiday Park is right on the coastline, and with easy access to a beach with classic northern sand dunes. Situated on Durham’s great Heritage coastline, the park itself has enough to keep you busy for a short break, including an indoor pool and sports court, but if you are driving you can also take advantage of the local area which has many historic attractions. Currently a three night break from Friday May 23rd will set you back £139 for a bronze caravan which sleeps six.
Sandy Bay Holiday Park in Northumberland does exactly what it says on the tin, as it is right next to a sandy beach, but it also has picturesque cliff-top views. There is entertainment at the park, as well as the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant, and again, if you want to get off the park for a bit, there are places to visit in the area within a short drive. Currently a three night break from Friday May 23rd will set you back £159 for a bronze caravan which sleeps six.
Although parks featured do advertise pet friendly caravans please ensure that you ring the park before booking to ensure that your pooch is not on a ‘breed exclusion list’. Enjoy your break.
