Park Holidays have launched a special offer for potential caravan owners at their sites across the South of England. The whole idea is that prospective buyers can get to experience a weekend in a gold or silver standard holiday home, and all the fun that comes with it.
The two night mini-break costs £49, including a VIP check-in, entertainment pass, access to facilities, and a choice of caravan to stay in (availability permitting). It’s a great way to get a feel as to whether buying a caravan holiday home is for you.
Obviously, whether you are considering buying a caravan or not this is a good holiday break deal, and the offer will no doubt be taken up by people with no intention other than grabbing a holiday bargain (not that we encourage that sort of thing…).
There will apparently be no ‘hard sell’ for people taking up the offer, which is wise, as frequent knocking on your caravan door will not be conducive to a good break. There will however be an experienced home-ownership consultant available for answering questions should you wish to find out what owning a home entails.
This is good, as although caravan ownership may seem straightforward, if you haven’t done it before there are lots of considerations. Who fixes the caravan if there’s a plumbing problem, insurance, and many issues need to be covered.
Also, for many people there is the issue of holiday letting and gaining an income from their holiday home investment, which again, although not rocket science, is something that is good to have expert advice on.
New caravans start at £6,995 with free 2014 pitch fees, which is very cheap. Obviously you won’t be getting a palace for that amount, but, it may be a foot on the first step on the ‘owning your dream holiday home ladder’.
