Park Holidays Romney Charity Fun Day

Park Holidays

If you’re in the New Romney area of Kent, and stuck for something to do on Sunday 15th of June, then why not head over to the Marlie Holiday Park Charity Fun Day. The park, which is operated by Park Holidays has a whole range of activities planned for the day, which we hope will turn out to be a sunny one.

The event will be held in support of The Children’s Trust which supports children with brain injury so money raised on the day will be going to a good cause that is close to many people’s hearts. For those that haven’t been to the park before it will be a great opportunity to see what the park has to offer as admission is free on the day.

There is a definite focus on family friendly activities on the day with parent and child races, family BBQ, bouncy castle and of course, face painting. There will however be local business stores, so there will probably something to keep the adults amused as well. There’s Bumblebee Robot as well, not sure what that is, but looks like something for both kids and adults (or big kids).

There’s also a tombola with loads of prizes to be won, and it’s nice to win something at a charity event, although it might feel a little bit strange taking something away from a charity event. But, the prizes are usually donated by local business, and if you do win a bottle of plonk, you can drink it safe in the knowledge that your presence helped make the day a success.

If you haven’t been to Marlie Farm before it’s a good chance to check out the facilities, which include a heated indoor leisure pool, and jacuzzi/sauna. The park is located a short drive/long walk from two lovely beaches, so you could make a day of it, and explore the local coastline.
