You hear about people building up to their big family holiday all year. Counting down the weeks until it’s finally time to jet off for a fortnight. However, many people now choose to stay in the UK for holidays and if you needed any more reason to do so it’s the news that staycationers do it more often!
A recent survey has shown that while those who take foreign holidays usually take one break a year, but over half of those who holiday in the UK take several breaks a year!
When you’re going abroad it makes sense to balance out the hassle of the flight, time difference and expense with a longer break, and while this is nice, it’s a long time coming if you can only afford one holiday a year. However, for those who holiday in the UK, several short breaks are possible as it’s such a hassle free experience, and much cheaper too!
If you can split one main holiday into four short breaks it means you’re never more than 13 weeks from a break away, and that kind of change can be massive to your wellbeing. While we understand the appeal of foreign holidays, holidaying in the UK is becoming increasingly popular and it’s clear to see why.
The expense is another appeal of UK holidays. While a foreign holiday costs an average of £1,113 according to this study, a holiday in the UK costs around £430, a huge saving!
If you are thinking of some short breaks over the summer then we suggest you check the holiday deals available at parks around the UK right now. There are July short breaks from just £159 per family, and even in the summer holidays you can grab a short break caravan holiday from £249 for all the family!
