We’re all familiar with Red Coat entertainment, it isn’t usually called that anymore, but basically that’s what you get at a lot of holiday parks, so it’s nice to see something new on the scene. Haven Holidays have enrolled the services of a variety of entertainment acts to give their holidaymakers something different this summer.
Haven’s “Especially For Summer” program kicks off on July the 19th, and continues until August 31st. The schedule has already started at their parks in Berwick, Craig Tara, Haggerston Castle and Seton Sands.
The line up includes pantomime, musicals, wrestling, and circus acts, as well as their “Haven’s Talented Seaside” where you can be the entertainment! If you’ve got a talent that you’d like to share you can enter the show, and if you get chosen as one of the best you will be entered for Haven’s prize draws.
If you don’t fancy getting up on stage, then apart from other happy campers getting up for a song there will be professional entertainers to keep you amused.
Seaside Cirque will be visiting, and offering their own brand of a ‘musical mini circus’ (they’re hiring at the moment as well if you think you’ve got some skills). There won’t be any lions or elephants, but that’s not a bad thing, and their human acts are a bit more fun and engaging (never mind safer).
Summer Mania Wrestling should be a bit of a laugh, as even though we know most of it is staged, it’s still great to watch those hulks throwing each other around the ring and bouncing off the floor.
There’s also a new take on Cinderella with ‘Cinders’ the musical, which is an updating of the classic along with pumping music to get people’s toes tapping. And, there’s a contemporary musical twist to their version of the pantomime Aladdin.
In all it looks like a pretty good program of entertainment, so if you are going to be booking a stay, ring the holiday park to make sure there’s something going on during your summer break.
