Typically as the children have gone back to school after the summer break, the sun has decided to make a reappearance after weeks of rain. It seems it’s always the way, after rain throughout August the sun is shining again and the rest of September is forecast to be settled and sunny. This of course is terrible news for those who have already sent the kids back to school, but for those looking for a bargain British holiday, now is the time to get away.
It’s an absolute nightmare for those who want to holiday through the summer, but for those who aren’t tied to term times, holiday prices just took the end of summer crash, peak time is over and it’s the perfect time to book a budget last minute break.
Right now holiday operator Parkdean Holidays is offering seven night breaks around the UK for just £199, and that’s not each, that’s for the entire family. If you wanted to head off in the next couple of weeks you could choose from any of eight parks in Cornwall for a week’s break for under £100, Devon for just £209, Wales for £259 or Dorset for £269 showing there are plenty of bargains left in the summer!
So if there are plenty of bargains left in the summer, and the Met office is saying there’s plenty of sunshine left too (at least in the South), then there really is nothing stopping you grabbing a late summer break and making the most of the bargains! What’s more, if you aren’t restricted by the school term times you’ll find amenities, beaches and attractions a lot less busy now than they were a few weeks ago!
If you are already getting lost in school uniform ironing, new timetables and the nightmare school run then we can only say, sorry!
