Us Brits probably spend about 50 weeks a year dreaming of summer holidays, but for two weeks a year we spend time thinking of another kind of holiday, as the Christmas season kicks in. While you may have cheered up your winter by already booking your break for next summer, the chances are you aren’t giving much thought to holidays this week as you prepare for the big day!
Many holiday parks wind down for the winter, and even those that stay open late in the season tend to shut for the Christmas holiday and that’s a real shame as there are still some fantastic holidays to be had in the UK, even if you wrap up warm for them!
If you’re not struck by the Christmas spirit your best chance of a winter getaway in late December is a cottage holiday or private break as many parks have now closed their doors for Christmas. However, that is because for many of us, getting away is the last thing on our minds, during what might be the only time we enjoy being homebunnies!
Of course it doesn’t last, in the first week of January the Christmas thoughts subside and the blue feeling of getting back to work with plenty of winter stretching out kicks in. It’s then that many will take advantage of the fantastic deals many holiday firms are running over the winter months to tempt you to book early for next summer!
The deals are there right now, and they’ll be waiting for you once you decide you’ve had enough of the Christmas songs and want to start daydreaming once more of the perfect holiday you might have next summer!
