If you’re planning an Easter break it could be that you’re off to sunny Devon or Cornwall for your first family holiday of the year! Many people across the UK are planning getaways for the first spring break so we thought we’d check out some things to do in the area.
With the help of daysoutwiththekids.co.uk we found the best attractions in the Devon and Cornwall area for you to visit.
We’ll visit Devon first with three attractions that are well worth your time if you’re having an Easter break in the area:
Woodlands Leisure Park – If you’re envisaging a holiday of relaxing walks and the kids are looking for action and fun then Woodlands Leisure Park in Dartmouth isn’t a bad idea at all. 90 acres of fabulous woodland with activities, and plenty of all weather fun.
Paignton Zoo – Paignton Zoo is open all year around and makes a great day out for all the family. With over 2,000 creatures to feast your eyes on you’ll get a chance to get up close and personal.
The Donkey Sanctuary – The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth is a registered charity and if you’re looking for a family day out with a difference it could be perfect for you. Spend as long as you like in this countryside setting at the beautiful coastal sanctuary, getting up close and personal with the rescued donkeys.

However, if your break is in Cornwall then we recommend you tie in visits to:
Lands End Visitors Centre – We have to say if you’re going all the way to Cornwall then a visit to the iconic Lands End seems essential. Get to stand at the very tip of the UK, visit the visitors centre and have your picture taken with the sign for John O’Groats.
New Quay Zoo – Devon and Cornwall have several zoos, and we particularly like New Zoo with over 130 species. Watch the penguins relaxing in their pools and get up close and personal with some creepy-crawlies in a perfect day out for all the family.
The Monkey Sanctuary – Devon may have the Donkey Sanctuary but in Looe there’s a Monkey Sanctuary that has been providing a safe haven for rescued monkeys since 1964. It’s a lovely day out for all the family, offering something a bit different.
