About Cockerham Sands
Perfectly located between the bright lights of Blackpool and the tranquil peace of the Lake District, Cockerham Sands is set on a the beautiful inlet of Cockerham on the Irish Sea. Direct access to the beach ensures a relaxing break, while there are plenty of on site facilities too to ensure maximum fun and value for money.
Caravans come in three grades so you can choose the break that most suits you, but can rest easy in the knowledge that all caravans come with mod cons including double glazing, central heating, fitted kitchen with microwave and a television too. You’re welcome to bring your pet too, and with miles of picturesque countryside, you’ll find plenty to do on your walks.
Cockerham Sands is just a short walk away but on site there are also indoor and outdoor pool facilities, a lounge bar, family dining and much more besides. Check out the children’s club to keep the little ones entertained, while the adventure playground and snooker and pool facilities should keep everyone entertained in between.
The park itself is set in a quiet hamlet, but you’re only about 20 miles from both Blackpool and the beautiful Lake District so there’s plenty to do on days out too. A Golf Club and coarse fishing can be found just a short drive from site making Cockerham Sands the perfect destination for all the family.
Stayed in the Coniston van, which was well equipped clean and tidy, also central heating and double glazing. The only draw back really was the 3 mile country lane that you have to negotiate but as long as you take your time and don’t drag racing through the lanes you’ll be fine. I took it nice and slow and didn’t have any problems with it really.
Restaurant and food were fine, a bit pricey but very nice. Staff went that extra mile for us with any requests we had. They were friendly and smiled whenever we approached them. The views from the site were stunning and it is lovely, calm, relaxing and peaceful location that made us feel like we were far away from the hustle and bustle of city life but close enough if we wanted to venture out!
