The location was once the country seat of the landed gentry, but though the family have long since departed, the grandeur of the main house has been preserved and now serves as the focus of this charming park.
There’s also a sizeable lake on site that is well-stocked with carp and is as popular with keen fishermen as with those like to wile away the hours in place of tranquility and leave their rods languishing. Amenities are in keeping with the finery of the setting. The heated indoor swimming pool for instance resembles the kind of sunken cave-like lagoon you might expect to find at an exclusive spa resort.
