About Highfield Grange Holiday Park
Highfield Grange is located at one of the UK’s oldest resorts so you get the best of both worlds, the traditional seaside attractions if nearby Clacton, and the modern features of a holiday park with everything from Aqua Jets to WiFi. The heated outdoor pool has a 20 ft water chute, and pirate rafting, so this park is great for those who love getting into the water without having to leave the site.
Once you’ve dried off there’s a plenty to do on dry land including archery and an adventure playground, and if it’s raining there’s an all weather sports court, as well as the indoor pool. For kids there are the usual daytime Sparky’s Kids Clubs, and in the evenings there’s a huge program of entertainment including local acts, and quizzes.
The beach is a five minute drive away, and it would be a shame not to visit Clacton pier, as well as the many other sandy beaches along this stretch of coastline. Overall, the park has a lot to offer as it is one of the largest in the area, and there’s good reason that the resort has been attracting holidaymakers for so long a – good choice for a traditional seaside holiday, but with the convenience of self-catering.
Pool and slides were shut when we arrived at Highfield Grange, no big problems really as we managed to get a little cheapy break for the 2 of us and our 3 children. We were mostly off out and about, and used the caravan as a base to sleep, wash and have the occassional meal.
As it was out of season, we didn’t really get to have a proper look at the campsite. We enjoyed ourselves. Accomodation could’ve done with a little bit of a deep clean, but were in ok condition. Great value for money though. Would like to see how it goes when the whole park is open.
