About South Lakeland Leisure Village
Set in 43 acres of countryside, South Lakeland Leisure Village is located with access to some of England’s most breath-taking scenery. There are no children’s clubs or adult entertainment at the village, this is a holiday location for those who really want to get away from it all and make the most of what England has to offer.
Having said that, the park is not light on facilities. It has a leisure centre with a heated 15 metre indoor pool, plus plenty of activities to keep adults busy. This could be an ideal destination for a family or couple who want more than just a break as qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers are on hand to help you get the most out of the equipment. For those with a more relaxed approach to well-being there are yoga and pilates classes on offer, as well as zumba for those who like to groove while they improve.
If it’s a pampering that you’re after the village has a beauty salon with a wide range of packages with everything from a Indian head massages to a full ‘Ultimate Pamper’. For those who like to relax outdoors with a rod in their hand the lake is free to use and is well stocked with fish ranging up to a whopping 30lb. And, if you fancy a change, for a small fee you can also fish at the Villa Fishery sister site just across the road.
The Mediterranean style Water’s Edge restaurant offers specials plus an a la carte menu, dining is available al fresco on the deck right by the side of the lake. Accommodation is lodge only, starting with classic lodges sleeping up to 4 people right up to exclusive lodges sleeping up to 6 people. Two storey country homes are also available.
South Lakeland Leisure Village is a holiday option for those looking for a fully serviced holiday, but also located in a quiet country setting with easy access to some of England’s most serene settings.
This is our fourth visit to South Lakeland Leisure Village and we absolutely love it. The accommodation is always first class, clean tidy and well maintained. We both find this location extremely relaxing, it felt like home from home.
We were lucky enough to have a lodge close to all the amenities, lovely scenery around and plenty of places to go for a walk. We will be back! 🙂
