Why Buy A Static Caravan In Dorset?

Dorset is a region steeped in natural beauty and rich history. With its ancient and spectacular Jurassic coastline which stretches an impressive 95 miles, it is an awe-inspiring sight to behold and a wonderful place to consider taking ownership of a static caravan.

It’s generally accepted to be the sunniest region in England and its summer climate is generally warmer than Cornwall and Devon due to its sheltered position. Even better is the fact that winters here are mild for the same reason.

Dorset was elected England’s first natural World Heritage site and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Interestingly, it has the largest hill fort in Europe and is famed for it’s wealth of pre-historic fossils. It’s dotted with quaint market towns and hidden villages, castles, and abbeys.

The largest resort, Bournemouth, is buzzing with seaside fun and the glorious sandy beach stretches 10 miles along the coast to Poole, framed by an incredible 2,000 colourful beach huts. There are also more watersports on offer here than you will find anywhere else in Europe, apparently.

Dorset currently has 43 Caravan & Holiday Parks with the majority enjoying a 3 or 4 star rating. Nearly half are such located along the west coast, and many others along the Purbeck Heritage Coast. Key Parks are Littlesea and Warmwell (both located in Weymouth), and Sandford and Rockley Parks in Poole, which may have static caravans for sale at varying times.
