Easter is the first occasion of the year when many think of going away. The children are off for two whole glorious weeks and you’re almost always guaranteed the chance of a bit of spring sunshine to blow the winter cobwebs away too. Of course with it being Easter too there are plenty of events on wherever you go, and today we’re putting the spotlight on Cornwall, and things to do there during the Easter holidays.
There’s lots of events on all over Cornwall throughout the Easter break, so whether you’re planning a caravan holiday in Bude, Looe, Newquay or one of the many areas within the county you should be able to find something near you to include in your break.
Easter Trail – Bodmin
Until 21st April families can join the Easter Trail with the National Trust at Bodmin. Supported by Cadbury the trail is a daily event and tickets are just £2.50 each. No dogs, sorry!

Trereife Easter Food and Craft Fair – Penzance
From 18th to 21st April is the Easter Food and Craft Fair where you can enjoy Bank Holiday food and local crafts running all weekend. There are cookery and craft demonstrations to look forward to and a whole programme of entertainment too. Family tickets are just £11.

Porthleven Food Festival – Porthleven
On Saturday 26th April at Porthleven Harbour the food festival takes place and it’s well worth a visit if you’re nearby. Over 18,000 made it to last year’s event and enjoyed local cuisine and a celebration of the delectable delights of Cornwall. The main food festival takes place on Saturday but there’s also a Friday night event with music, a beer festival bar and live music. Friday night Tickets are £10.

Easter at the Zoo – Newquay
Until 21st April Newquay Zoo are holding a host of activities, Easter Egg Hunts, Duck Races and more. There’s so much going on, including a visit to the Zoo by Michaela Strachan! Normal admission fees apply.

Trevithick Day – Camborne
On 26th April, Camborne will be celebrating its connection with inventor Richard Tevithick with singing, dancing, spluttering steam engines and parades, promising a wonderful day out for all the family. Free
