Coronation Street fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of veteran star William Roache to the show and he’s about to be written back in with a bang on trend story! The buzz about staycations has been hotter than the British weather for the last couple of summers and Corrie scriptwriters are following the trend as viewers are to see Ken whisk Deirdre off on a caravan holiday!
When Ken returns to the cobbles of Corrie he’ll be suggesting to Deirdre the couple take a holiday, but if she was hoping for tropical climes they may be disappointed as he has his heart set on North Wales.
The show’s producers have released details of the storyline, to be aired later in the summer confirming that the couple will be involved in a light hearted storyline in a North Wales caravan park. The story is likely to be popular with those who enjoy British holidays, after all we all have our anecdotes to tell, and it might be that we see our own holidays reflected back at us in the show.
With some dark storylines in the show of late, and the real life turmoil of actor William Roache some light heartedness is definitely in order on the show and a caravan holiday seems an appropriate way to welcome the veteran actor back. Expect some comedy scenes as Ken and Deirdre recreate Carry on Caravanning!
If you fancy following the lead of these Corrie characters British holidays certainly are en vogue and there are plenty to choose from not just in North Wales but across the whole of Wales and Britain too.
