Hoseasons do not operate their own holiday parks, they are booking agents for holiday locations across the UK (and abroad). That said, they are a very successful operator, so they must be doing something right as their domestic bookings have been rocketing upwards over the past few years.
Some of their recent success may be attributed to the great summers we’ve been having lately, but there’s a bit more to it than that. Their website probably has the most advanced search features to help you find the right holiday, and as they are not tied to their own locations they have a lot more choice than other holiday park websites, and they offer a lot more criteria to help you choose your location for a short break or a proper holiday.
We do love their holiday search filters, and the one we’re looking at today is ‘horse riding holidays’. Not for everyone maybe, but if you’re an equine regular, or you just fancy taking a holiday where you can learn a new skill then Hoseasons have got a lot of locations on offer that give the opportunity to get in the stirrups.
Using their ‘Horse Riding’ filter we found 21 holiday locations across the country featuring a gallop. Horse hire is extra, and the prices as well as competence levels may vary from location to location. So if you are interested it may be wise to give your chosen park a ring as a competent trotter will have different needs from a family who want to introduce their kids to the joys of horseback riding.
One park we found is Beachside Holiday Park in Devon which has seven types of accommodation available which start from £119 per week for a comfortable caravan with one double and one twin sleeping six, to a new for 2014 caravan for eight guests starting at £234 per week depending on season.
The 4 Star park is superbly located on the coast just around the corner from Westward Ho’s sandy beaches, and the park itself is well planted which makes up for the lack of swimming pool etc. This is obviously a holiday park for those who like to get out and about and making the most of the natural beauty of the area.
This is just one example, but there are loads more parks offering horse riding, all you need to do is to go onto the Hoseasons website, do a holiday search, and scroll down the left hand side of the page and click on Horse Riding in the ‘Feature Filter’ section.
