2015 Early Booking Deals

For those of you who like to leave things last minute when it comes to booking holidays the past year or so has become even more difficult. With a recent huge increase in staycations things are getting even tighter when it comes to getting the dates you want for your caravan holiday.

This doesn’t mean that last minute bookings are a thing of the past, it just means that that the opportunities will get thin on the ground. Using last minute deals has been a strategy for holidaymakers looking to grab a bargain knowing full well that (previously) not every caravan would be booked in advance, and it’s also a great way to spontaneously grab an unexpected weekend break.

For the ‘spontaneous’ the new surge in staycation bookings may not be a problem as long as they are prepared to travel to take advantage of last minute cancellations. For the bargain grabbers who plan ahead expecting a last minute break at their favourite destination the surge may be about to cause problems. Yes, there will always be last minute deals, but they are going to be far less likely to be available due to a lack of forward bookings.

Having checked 2015 availability on a whole range of holiday parks from the likes of Haven Holidays, Park Holidays, and Park Resorts I have been absolutely gobsmacked at the lack of availability of spring breaks in particular. They are filling up at a crazy rate, which may in part be due to the big names offering good reductions on advanced bookings for 2015 breaks and holidays. This is all good news for the holiday park industry, and for those who book ahead, but not for those who hang around waiting for prices to go down last minute. Any left will be like gold dust, so for the late staycation bargain grabbers it may be worth a change in strategy, or be prepared to buy a tent!

It may be worth booking ahead, that way you can still save money, maybe not as much as usual, but a cut price holiday is arguably better than a bargain basement price that you can’t actually get hold of. Bird in hand… So, if you are considering a change in strategy, here are the reductions the major holiday park operators are offering for 2015 holidays and breaks.

Haven Holidays are offering up to 50% off for 7 night or longer breaks in spring, May, June, early July, and Autumn. On all other dates and short breaks they are offering up to 25% off. More info.

Park Holidays are offering discounts of up to £150 for breaks and holiday in 2015, with only a £20 deposit required. More info.

The above offers are all time limited, for most you will need to book before the end of January, so now is at least the time to start thing about it! Good luck, hope you get the resort you want before it fills up.
