The big names in caravan holiday parks are currently in a January ‘booking war’, with all the big players offering good discounts for holidays booked before the end of January. Who is giving the best offer depends on where you want to go, and whether or not you’ll be taking children with you.
Haven Holidays are offering up to 50% off for holidays this year, however, the reduction is not applicable to school holiday breaks. So unless you’re willing to run the gauntlet of the headmaster and the local authorities (a certain amount of term time leave is permissible within some counties), you will only get up to 25% off your advanced booking.
So, for those who are taking children and want to do so legally within the school holidays Park Resorts are probably offering the best reduction of up to 30% off holidays including school holidays. To claim the reduction, simply choose your holiday and in the promotion code box on the booking form enter the code 15NS. Please note that if the holiday is already reduced, you won’t get a further reduction with the code.
They are also only asking for a deposit of £30 to secure your accommodation, which goes up to £50 after the end of January, and your holiday balance must be paid 8 weeks before the holiday start date.
When booking you will notice there is an extra £17(or more) added to extra costs for their ‘Cancellation Plan’, but, you can get rid of that by scrolling down the page to the extra costs section, and taking the tick off the Cancellation Plan box. If you are interested in keeping the ‘insurance’, we suggest you read the full details to be sure it is appropriate to your needs. The insurance does not cover ‘whims’, and if for example you cancel due to illness, you will need to provide a doctor’s certificate.
