May half term is just around the corner, so if you’re thinking of taking the kids away for the week now is the time to start thinking about booking. As we’ve previously noted, early bookings figures have gone through the roof this January, the latest stats come from Park Resorts who have seen a 21% increase in bookings against last January.
So now is the time to book, as places will be filling up quickly as part of the ‘staycation effect’. The big names in holiday parks all had great special offers for early bookings, but, those have just expired. However, there are still some deals available for the half term break in May.
Hoseasons have got half term breaks from £91 for 3 nights, or £249 for a longer break. They have over 2,500 breaks on offer over the period, but luckily the holiday search page has loads of filters to help you narrow down your choices. On the top right of the search results you can order them by price, and on the left hand of the screen there is the region filter, plus loads of features options, so, for example you can select only holidays that are pet friendly, with kid’s clubs in Norfolk (we love this search filter!). Haven Holidays have got breaks available from only £249 for the whole family for dates 22nd to 31st May. If you are looking for a really cheap deal however you will need to do a bit of searching of locations on the booking page, as they are not ordered by price, search here.
We’re sure that Park Holidays and Park Resorts will be adding May half term break specific deals to their websites, but currently do not have any on offer (it’s not like them to miss a trick!). We will let you know as soon as they notify us, but in the meantime, both are offering deals on Easter breaks.
