Just a couple of weeks ago the Met Office released details of the Easter weather saying it would be changeable with plenty of sunny spells too. Well it has indeed been changeable and despite the Met Office saying the weather would be better in the South, the area and much of the rest of the country has been battered by Hurricane force winds.
Now there’s not much better than snuggling up in a caravan and hearing the rain on the roof, but everyone has their limits and with winds of up to 100mph reported in coastal areas, it’s been a huge disruption for holidaymakers.
Trees down, roads closed and many attractions closed for safety fears means that the first holiday of the year could have been better, and we’re not even at Easter yet!
Thankfully if you’re planning a break away next week Easter Monday is promised to be dry and bright up and down the country, and thankfully that wind is set to ease too. In fact, a band of high pressure should mean nice weather for the rest of the holidays and much of April, but whether that is the case remains to be seen!
British holidaymakers thankfully know how to make their own fun, and many of the UK’s holiday parks are more than well kitted out to cater for all weathers, so hopefully if you did get away you’ve still managed to have some fun! And hopefully after the last deluge of winter, we’re now into some better spring weather with more holiday chances and breaks to look forward to!
