Park Resorts have added a new caravan holiday park to their excellent portfolio of destinations across the south of England. The new park is located near to Great Yarmouth, so if you fancy a bit of traditional seaside resort shenanigans it’s just down the road.
Summerfields Holiday Park is just a ten minute walk away from sandy Scratby Beach, but aside from what’s going on in the local area there are a few facilities on the site itself. The site has an indoor pool, crazy golf, restaurant, and soft play area for the kids, and for mum and dad a spa and sauna.
If you want a leisurely break without the noise and bluster of a ‘red coat experience’ then this may be a great escape, as it gives you the option to basically hang out and ‘chillax’, or head into Great Yarmouth for some fun. There is family friendly entertainment at the Showbar, but this is not a ‘full on’ holiday park.
Nearby Great Yarmouth has been a seaside holiday resort since 1760! So, obviously it’s a great spot for fish and chips and a wander along the promenade and all the other things that have come to symbolise the great British beachside holiday.
There is plenty of entertainment in season in the town for adults including theatre, music, clubs, casino and also quiet traditional Norfolk pubs. If you are driving there are also plenty of opportunities for boat rides as the Fens are just around the corner. Another great mode of holiday travel in the area is the humble bicycle, which is a great way to see the area, and not too taxing as Norfolk is as flat as a pancake!
