So the summer is fast approaching and you still haven’t decided which British resort to take the family to. Never fear, there are still plenty of holiday deals available but that doesn’t help you with your decision of where to go. If you really want to get away from it all then Cornwall is a pretty gorgeous idyll so with that in mind, we’ve rounded up some reasons to visit!
Cornwall is a stunning holiday destination at the very southern point of the UK and there are some fantastic holiday parks in the area, but when you get there, what’s to do?
Beautiful Beaches
With golden sands and clean turquoise water you could mistake Cornwall for a tropical destination on the right day. Perranporth and Fistral have been voted the best beaches in Britain, and the area gets enough investment that it is well served by lifeguards too.
Delicious produce
What more could you want than a pasty for lunch, a cream tea for afters and a lovely glass of local cider to wash it down with?
The weather
While nowhere in the UK is particularly famed for its good weather, the south west of the Britain boasts whether more on a par with northern France, especially during the summer months.
Lots of family attractions
Cornwall has a ton of local attractions, from the Eden project to watersports, from Paignton Zoo to the many sealife centres in the area. It’s very unlikely that you’ll be stuck for stuff to do whatever the weather!
More holiday opportunities
The cost difference between holidaying in Cornwall as opposed to travelling to Northern Europe is huge and family holidays in the UK are a great way to save the budget, whether you choose Cornwall or anywhere else!
Add to this the brilliant seasonal events, the huge investment into the tourist industry over the past couple of years, and the fact that you can stand at the very end of Britain and you should have a ton of reasons to take your summer holiday in Cornwall this year!
