It’s all over the news, all over the Internet and it’s the buzz word of the moment, the Staycation is well and truly en vogue. However, you enjoy your foreign holidays, you can afford them and you’re not sure whether you’d like to switch the sunny climes of a foreign break for a break closer to home.
With that in mind, we’ve been thinking of the advantages of taking a UK break, or Staycations and here are some reasons to book a UK break this year!
It’s much less hassle
Let’s be fair, while foreign holidays might be exciting and relaxing, by the time you’ve come through the airport you’ve complete dissolved any quiet karma you may have built up during your break. UK holidays are generally just less hassle and stress, especially when you have small children!
Better for the budget
We can always make holidays as cheap or as expensive as we like, but with holiday taxes, passports, transfers and the rest, foreign holidays can really rack up in the cost stakes. When you book a UK break, particularly a caravan or lodge deal you get a fantastic one price deal, and it’s often much, much cheaper than a foreign holiday, even in high season.
No language barriers
If you holiday in the UK you can leave the phrase book at home. Making yourself understood on holiday can be a stressful experience, but there’s none of that when you take a staycation. No shouting at locals and looking like an idiot, well, you still can if you like but you can do so in English.
More holiday chances
With all that money you saved on a foreign holiday you can book more than one UK break a year, no more waiting 51 weeks for that one week of holiday fun with UK breaks and short breaks you can take three or four holidays throughout the year, breaking your time up perfectly!
