You’ve decided on a staycation over going abroad and you’re looking for the perfect beach holiday but with so much coastline around the UK, how do you choose? We really are spoiled for choice on British shores with a lot of coastline on our relatively small island and choosing the best beach holiday can be the hardest part.
We’ve scoured the UK coastline and here we have our top beach holidays if you decide to stay in the UK this summer.
Newquay – Newquay Holiday Park
Newquay is the archetypal British Holiday, fun, bustling and plenty to do! Newquay is possibly the most famous beach in the UK, renowned for surfers and families alike, but if you’re looking for a quiet holiday destination, this may not be for you.
Dawlish Warren – Dawlish Sands Holiday Park
Dawlish Warren is a national nature reserve and offers beautiful scenery and a quieter beach holiday. The blue flag beach gets busy in the summer but with an expanse of golden sands, sand dunes and warrens you shouldn’t have to work too hard for your own quiet spot.
New Quay – Quay West Holiday Park
Different New Quay, same beautiful holiday experience. Quay West is on the outskirts of the beautiful fishing town of New Quay on the West coast of Wales and has several sandy beaches, a quay and plenty to do!
Embo – Grannie’s Heilan Hame Holiday Park
The white sands of Embo beach are the perfect getaway for those really wanting to get away from it all. Set in the Scottish highlands this is the perfect holiday destination for those who want a quieter pace of life, and with perfect views over Dornoch Firth you might even get to see some dolphins too.
Mablethorpe – Golden Sands Holiday Park
If you’re heading to the East coast this summer then Mablethorpe offers everything of the family holiday from your memories! A traditional Victorian seaside resort and a well equipped holiday park makes for a perfect family holiday!
There’s a range of different beach holidays there to suit all tastes, just going to show that whatever your holiday requirements there’s the perfect staycation for you somewhere!
