Yes, we’ve barely put the beachball and bucket and spades away and it’s almost time for another half term. The school break is literally just a couple of weeks away, so it’s time to get our skates on if we want to take the kids off for a last bit of caravan holiday fun before winter gets into full swing.
Park Resorts have got some good deals at their holiday parks for the coming break, including Halloween Weekend (3 Nts) 30th Oct – from £149. In fact although the price quoted in their email to us is £149, we found breaks for the same period starting at £109 – bonus!
£109 will get you 3 nights in a Silver Caravan at Shurland Dale in Kent for the Halloween Weekend. The caravan has two bedrooms, sleeps six, and yes, pets allowed. There’s an indoor swimming pool, activities for children, and if it’s not raining the Isle of Sheppey to explore.
They’ve currently got 126 vacancies for that weekend at their resorts up and down the country all the way from Scotland right down to Sussex. You can use their availability filter to narrow your search down to caravans, chalets, lodges, or bungalows, and you can also select pet friendly breaks.
For the half term itself, there are 3 night breaks for the beginning of the school break 23rd of October starting from £249. Again, they’ve got their figures wrong, but, we’re not complaining as again, you can get a holiday for those dates from £183, just make sure when you check availability on their site that you set ‘Order by’ on the top right of the search to ‘Price (lo-Hi).
For a midweek break starting 26th October for 4 nights you can get a break for £211. Again, they advertised a minimum special offer price for a caravan holiday for this period as £220, and again, we’re happy that they’ve got it wrong. To be fair to them though, this is not due to any sort of incompetence, this is just the price of their cheapest breaks available when the marketing email went out. So, it’s all good news!
