Holiday Park Xmas Breaks In The Lake District

So, as 2016 gradually draws to a close the caravan holiday season is truly over as most holiday parks close their doors for the winter. Or is it over? While most holiday parks will be closing their gates until March 2017, not all will be. Park Resorts are offering Christmas getaways at three of their Lake District parks, and this is one occasion where holidaymakers will be hoping for bad weather!

The bookies are already offering odds on a white Christmas, but meteorologists are at this stage reluctant to stick their necks out and predict whether or not it will be snowing over the festive period. However, even if there aren’t going to be snowflakes this December, the lake District will be high on the list of prime domestic choices for an Xmas getaway.

Fallbarrow is a tranquil park overlooking Lake Windermere and close to the National Park, great for a romantic break or an exploration of stunningly austere winter environs. A Christmas break there will cost £299, or a New Year’s break will be £597.

Limefitt is a relaxed resort located amongst the Lake District fells with its own open fired inn. Cosy up by the fireplace! A Christmas break there will cost £357, or a New Year’s break will be £499.

White Cross Bay is located on the shores of Lake Windermere. It has an indoor heated swimming pool, and for true nature lovers it’s a great base for rambling through the snow (hopefully). A Christmas break there will cost £393, or a New Year’s break will be £561.
