Yes, this is our caravan holiday website, but at times we like to go a little 'off track' and explore other domestic holiday options. This has been declared the year of the staycation, so we thought we'd continue our series looking at alternative or quirky places to stay throughout the year.
This week we're looking at the sheer luxury of Hoseasons' Autograph Lodges. They will be a bit more expensive than a weekend at a holiday park in Rhyl, but, sometimes it's worth forking out a bit more for a different experience. So what is so special about an Autograph Lodge?
The 37 exclusive locations currently on offer across the UK have the following*:
- Pristine countryside and nearby local pubs
- Pamper packs and other extras
- Complimentary essentials on arrival
- Outdoor hot tubs
- Wide-screen TVs
- Soft fluffy towels and other luxuries
* Please check before booking that the above is included in the accommodation, there may be variations.
These breaks are 'designed' to really get you away from it all. No screaming kids (except your own...), no karaoke in the club house, just the simple pleasures of a natural environment. Plus the indulgence of comfy beds and sofas and more.
Having mentioned kids, we're not sure you'd really want to bring them. This may be more of an opportunity to drop them off with the grandparents, while you spoil a loved one and and show them that they really matter.
Of course we love our kids, but sometimes...
So lets have a quick peek at what one of their breaks has to offer:
Leycroft Valley Lodges in Perranporth are ideally located in a 7-acre wooded valley (this literally 'screams' peace and quiet). The lodges and cabins have hot tubs for a leisurely soak after a day spent casually wandering around around unspoilt Cornish countryside (if you can be bothered to get out of bed...). The resort scores an average 9.1 out of 10 on Reevoo from over 300 reviews, which is pretty good going. There are several packs available, including Pamper, Treat, Celebration and a Romance Pack (red roses and champagne). And, if the solitude gets to you, there's plenty to see and do within a short drive. Prices start from £399 per week, but check for special offers and short break prices.
