About Martello Beach
The reason the holiday park is called Martello Beach, is that it is literally on the beach, which is one major box ticked right away, no drive to the beach, as you have seven miles of glorious sandy beaches right on your doorstep. This makes the resort great for those who simply love beach life, whether it’s fun in the sand and sea, beach-combing, or long romantic strolls.
However, if you’re feeling a bit lazy, there’s a heated outdoor pool (May – September), and although there’s a convenience store on site for self catering you can avoid the cooking and dishes by grabbing a takeaway at the Ocean Express Cafe. If it does happen to rain there’s an indoor pool and a bar. The showbar has a packed program of in season entertainment, and the kids can have a bit of daytime fun by joining one of Loopy’s clubs.
This is a great location for a holiday, as the miles and miles of beach offer plenty to explore, and great fun for the kids. If you do fancy a bit of a knees up there’s plenty happening at the park, and Clacton is only just down the road. In all, plenty of beach-side fun on offer with enough facilities and activities to fill your holiday.
How could you not love this caravan park? Practically on the beach so no long drives or walks.
The staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to take our dog with us, who also enjoyed the long walks on the beach. Great break for us. Don’t expect a great deal and you won’t be dissapointed. We didn’t use the facilities, so unable to pass comment.
