About Orchards Holiday Park
Located on the Essex coastline, The Orchards Holiday Village has a great range of facilities and activities for both children and adults. Plus, if you somehow manage to make your way through all that’s on offer onsite, there’s a lot to do in the surrounding area.
Family holidays generally start with a dip in the pool, The Orchards has an indoor heated pool, plus a seasonal outdoor pool, and a paddling pool for the kids. Swimming lessons are on offer for ages 4+, which is a bonus as long as the kids have fun and don’t realise they’re actually learning!
There’s plenty of other things for the kids to do as well. There are indoor and outdoor play areas, plus some great structured activities: a football academy, and archery and fencing for ages 6 upwards (this is for adults too).
There are some leisurely adult activities available as well, including golf, and that most chilled pastime fishing, at the village’s own lake. There’s also pitch and putt as well as a bowling green, no climbing wall though as this is a proper relaxation escape destination.
Clacton is just down the road if you fancy a traditional seaside break, and inland there’s plenty of places to visit including Chelmsford, Colchester and more. A lot going on at a well facilitated family holiday park, enough to keep a busy family occupied for a short break or longer.
The location of this caravan site is perfectly situated on the Essex coastline, which is beautiful. There are loads of activities to undertake for parents and children. The indoor heated swimming pool was a hit with us all and we had some fun times there.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was of a high spec and well equipped.
