About Pendine Sands Holiday Park
Pendine Sands Holiday Park is situated minutes away from a beautiful beach, and is ideally located for the wonder that is the Camarthenshire coastline. The choice for day-trips in the area is never-ending, but the park itself has plenty to offer holidaymakers.
Facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool and amusement arcade, but for something a bit healthier there is a wildlife nature trail to explore. There’s a decked picnic area by the duck pond, but if you fancy someone else preparing your food there is plenty onsite.
The Duck Inn has a beer garden and serves snacks, but it wouldn’t be a proper beach holiday without a visit to their chip shop. And for a treat there is the Sands Restaurant & Showbar, which also provides night-time entertainment for all the family. For a bit of brunch relax at Barnacles beach-side café which has great views of the sea.
The park is well equipped for kids too. There are two adventure playgrounds, plus kids clubs that cater from toddlers up to fifteen year olds – drop them off and get yourself some well deserved ‘me time’.
The 7 mile beach is just one of many in the area. If you’re driving it would be a shame to miss out on some stunning beaches, nearby Manorbier is one of many, with the exception that it has its own castle plus gorgeous trust protected quaint village and pub.
For a bit of shopping head to nearby Tenby which is a bustling tourist resort and is partly located within castle wall, plus it has a great working harbour where you can buy fresh seafood. Of the many local attractions one of the best is the National Botanic Gardens which are Wales’ version of the Eden Project, and well worth a short drive. If you have hard to impress teenagers on board you may be able to swing them your way with a visit to Oakwood theme park which has a few rides to get the adrenaline pumping.
